Readability: The readability metric isn’t something new. However, the fact that gives you the opportunity to match your text’s readability to that of the top 10 competitors in the niche is interesting. A readability score of 56.4 is considered to be “fairly difficult,” to read and so the target is usually 60 and beyond if the niche requires it. For some texts, the readability should be more complex because that’s what the target audience expects and the tool makes that suggestion.
Sure…I do mostly affiliate stuff now but it applies to local too. Say I wanted to do an Amazon aff. site for laptops. I’d google some generic terms like “best laptop 2016” or “laptop reviews” grab the first three or four results of other aff. sites and run them through SEMRush to see what the competition is ranking for see the trends…etc and export the organic results. Lather, rinse and repeat until you have enough keywords.
We use the tool mainly to help with our SEO clients. Personally, I like the rating tool on the page. I think it's a great way to compare your page with the top 10 ranking pages for a specific keyword. The site audit in particular can offer quick answers. SEMrush is our main SEO tool and really does it all, especially with the massive updates from last year. Track keyword ranking positions, offer some keyword search tools and compare the domain with others related to it. You can also automate reports that are labeled blank. It also performs domain analysis, tracking of backlinks and audits of sites that we use all the time in our SEO business.
What I like the most about Monitor Backlinks is that we can keep track of every single link, and that we can see the status of those links when they change or become obsolete. The details and the whole overview of Monitor Backlinks, is exactly what I need and no more, because there are a lot of SEO programmes on the market today, which promise to do what's necessary, but don't. Monitor Backlinks is exactly what I need for my SEO, and no more than that needed.

The feature allows users to check all incoming links from various URLs to their website’s domain and root domain. Plus, it gives them insight into their domain’s authority and geolocation. The anchor text linking to their website along with URLs, target web pages, titles of linking, etc. combined with the link’s weight of the competitor’s domain is more than enough information to form of a killer SEO strategy.
The other way is to get a no-obligation 7-day free trial by clicking here. Using it for 7 days will give you a very good idea as to what you can expect from the tool. It will give you a ton of insights and keywords which can be leveraged effectively to boost traffic and engagement. Not to mention the fact that you’ll be able to test everything we’ve said in this review and put it into practice for yourself. What’s more is that you’ll see a visible improvement in your engagement and traffic at the very least.
Brian, I have a burning question regarding keyword placement and frequency. You wrote: “Use the key in the first 100 words … “. What else? I use Yoast and a WDF*IDF semantic analysis tool to check the content of the top10 rankings. Pretty often I have the feeling I overdo it, although Yoast and WDF/IDF told me I use the focus keyword not often enough.
Thank you for the great checklist. It is really useful and gave us a couple of new hints on optimization process. We’ve been using WebSite Auditor and found it exremely helpful in site’s structure and content analysis, bringing all the statistical information on the validation errors, social mentions, duplicate stuff, etc. under one roof. Still there is so many different SEO information you sometimes cannot understand what to start with. Fortunately you answered this question. Thank you again!

I’m a big fan of Semrush however I do find the data more reliable for the bigger markets like the UK and the USA as opposed to Australia or Asian sites. I have generally used it in the past when I have specific projects going on in these larger markets as opposed to subscribing continuously. It is actually quite easy to start and stop the subscription. If I had the ongoing need I would definitely have an ongoing subscription.
I have been using this Tool for around two years for generating SEO reports for my client and company as well. There are different features which i like most, for instance- Backlink checker, Traffic analytic and domain vs domain. Semrush is the best tool I ever used to do Search Engine Optimization. When it comes to backlink then Semrush is my favorite due to its accuracy and specificness. In addition, Semrush has also helped us to improve our website's search engine ranking by providing insights. The tool also provides a management feature where we can add our project and work on them for a long time. Its been an awesome journey with Semrush. The tool enables us to work on different projects at the same time.
